Sebastian Ore Blas ( b.2002) is an artist from Lima, Peru currently based in New York City. His work explores the tension between the physical and the metaphysical through allegorical imagery and compositional fragmentation. Referencing literature, art history, and personal photography archives, the work stitches together artificial compositions made up of foreign elements, examining how they interact when recontextualized. The digressions in value, hue, and contrast symbolize the merger of the abstract and the physical.

Overall, he explores the clash between the abstract and the real. By engaging with symbolic motifs and literary references, his body of work reflects on the dualities of experience: the allegorical and the literal, the flat and the rendered, the present and the absent, the soul and the body.
